RULE 3.391. SELECTION OF FOREPERSON OF JURY
- The judge must instruct the jury to select one of their members to be the foreperson.
- The selection is made by the jurors themselves; the judge does not appoint the foreperson.
- The foreperson presides over deliberations and signs the final verdict form.
- This simple rule ensures the jury has a designated leader to guide deliberations and act as their spokesperson to the court.
