RULE 3.080. NONVERIFICATION OF PLEADINGS
- Generally, pleadings filed by an attorney do not need to be verified (sworn to) or have a separate affidavit.
- The attorney's signature on the document serves as the certification.
- This rule does not apply if a specific statute or another rule explicitly requires a document to be verified (e.g., certain motions for postconviction relief).
